Through our core value of humanity, New York Life strives to be the "Company of the Community" through the efforts of the Corporate Responsibility Unit and the New York Life Foundation.

The Cincinnati General Office has also supported other local charities in our community. 

Cincinnati's Cancer Family Care - Cancer Family Care is a nonprofit organization that helps children and adults cope with the effects of a cancer diagnosis in the family.  They are known throughout the region as a force of compassion and strength in the face of cancer-related illness and loss.  Our New York Life family made over 100 bereavement kits for children and raised $1000 for this great organization.

Cincinnati's Free Store Food Bank - The Freestore Foodbank is one of the largest food banks, distributing 20 million meals annually through a network of about 260 community partner agencies serving 20 counties in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. The Cincinnati New York Life Family donated hundreds of canned goods and non-perishable items. 

Ohio Voices- Ohio Valley Voices is a thirteen year old organization that reaches out to a population of children who would ordinarily be confined to a world without sound or voice.

Redwood- Redwood is helping individuals with disabilities achieve independence and reach their full potential through enriching educational, therapeutic, and vocational services in an enviroment where abailites grow!


Cincinnati Center for Autism- CCA was founded in 2003 with the purpose of providing families a place of comfort and understanding as they navigate the complex world of Autism Spectrum Disorders.  It is their mission to not only serve children with ASD through therapy and intervention, but to provide a host or resources to parents who live day to day with the challenge of having a child with autism.


Corporate Responsibility

Our mission is to demonstrate New York Life's good corporate citizenship and our commitment to improving the quality of life in the communities where we do business by: leading the annual employee giving campaign, employee volunteerism activities, and community affairs. managing the New York Life Foundation and its programs. In addition, we provide leadership and support to New York Life agents, employees and retirees and their communities.

New York Life Foundation
Inspired by New York Life's tradition of service and humanity, the New York Life Foundation has, since its founding in 1979, provided more than $141 million in charitable contributions to national and local nonprofit organizations. Through its focus on "Nurturing the Children", the Foundation supports programs that benefit young people, particularly in the areas of mentoring, the establishment of safe places to learn and grow, educational enhancement opportunities and childhood bereavement. The Foundation also encourages and facilitates the community involvement of employees, agents, and retirees of New York Life through its Volunteers for Good program.
